Cricket is a very popular sport in the world. Most of the countries play cricket and most of the person want to become a cricketer. In cricket, Ball plays an important role in every game. Without balls, Cricket can not play. Cricket has 3 formats ( one day(50over), T20(20over) and Test(5days)) and In each format, Different color ball is used in cricket. 

Let us look at the different types of cricket balls used in cricket weather in gully cricket or international cricket.

The sponge ball or the smiley ball is the harmless ball and easily buy through parents. These balls are comfortable for 3 to 5 years children and play happily. Tennis Ball is very popular among youth and every youth play with tennis and flash ball. It is more durable and heavier than plastic. It harms children and can break the glass. The soft synthetic ball costs around ₹120-250 per piece, depending on the manufacturing company and product quality.
This ball comes very quicker than usual after pitching. Professional cricketer improves their strokes against fast bowlers through this ball.

Cork Ball


 The cork ball is used in training nets at every cricket coaching in every country. The cork ball looks exactly like red leather which plays at the international level. Players use this ball only for the purpose of training such as batting practice, bowling practice, etc.  These balls do not last for more than 50 overs. Any cork ball costs about ₹350-550 per piece depending on the manufacturers.

 Every limited-overs international match uses the kookaburra leather ball. Kookaburra is manufactured in Australia and the red one has used Test matches in Australia, New Zealand, Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka, etc. The Red Kookaburra weighs nearly 162g with 4- piece. It is made of machine techniques. This company ball has a seam only till 23 to 25 overs because after 25 overs it becomes older and doesn't swing. Its price nearly ₹10000

     The only country that uses an SG cricket ball in tests in India. This red ball doesn’t retain its shine for a very long time. So, it doesn’t favor the seamers as the ball swings only for the first 10 overs. It is more spinners friendly as spinners get a good grip to turn the ball easily. In India, mostly spinners take more wickets rather than fast bowlers and It also provides a reverse swing.
    This ball costs around₹650- 2000in India.

      

     White Leather Ball

    The person who introduces White Leather Ball is Kerry Packer. This person gives the idea of this ball and first time used in 1977. World Series Cricket was the first-ever cricket league and it also introduced colored jerseys for the first time in cricket.
    In 1992, the white ball was used in the world cup in  Australia and New Zealand.
    Every manufacturer company builds this ball and Its price nearly₹650- 2000 in India.


    Pink Leather Ball

    Kookaburra also manufactured the first pink ball used in the first-ever Day-Night Test match when Australia clashed with New Zealand at Adelaide in 2015. Its color is neon pink because the red ball does not see at night sky under the light and white ball match the color of cricketer's jerseys. So, Neon pink is the perfect color for day-night matches. Its price depends on the manufactured company.
